Job summary

ReFocus Eye Health is seeking a highly organized Surgical Manager to oversee surgical staff and schedules across affiliated and non-affiliated ASCs. You will supervise 20+ employees, hire and guide new team members, and ensure efficient scheduling and processing of surgical packets with the ASC EHR system.

The role requires strong healthcare experience, excellent communication, and meticulous organizational skills to promote a positive patient experience and seamless operations across locations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a healthcare setting, ideally surgical scheduling or coordination.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Directly manages 20+ employees within the surgical scheduling department.
• Interviewing, hiring, and guiding new employees; planning, assigning, and directing work.
• Manage payroll-related hours and PTO approvals.
• Maintain monthly surgical and training schedules; allocate staff per provider/location.
• Coordinate surgeries and follow-up appointments with physicians.
• Collaborate with outside facilities to schedule OR time and coordinate surgeon schedules.
