Liberty Mutual Surety is recruiting a Senior Surety Underwriter for the Small to Mid Commercial Surety team in Florida. You will underwrite complex accounts, negotiate terms, and manage a book of business with agents and brokers.

Competenze

Degree in Business or equivalent typically required.
2.5+ years (often 3+) of surety underwriting experience.
Proven analytical ability to evaluate and judge underwriting risks.
Ability to define and implement underwriting processes/workflows.
Proven track record of underwriting profitable Surety business.

Mansioni

Underwrite and negotiate accounts to maximize profitability while minimizing risk.
Manage profitability and retention of an assigned book while developing the portfolio with agents and brokers.
Perform analytical evaluations of financial statements on static and trend basis.
Stay abreast of Liberty Mutual Surety product lines and identify opportunities with agents and brokers.
Responsible for investigation, analyzing, and managing underwriting/workflow issues.
Coordinate and surface issues to Home Office Underwriters and Field Management.
May mentor more junior staff based on level.
Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
