Job summary

NFP Corp in Albany, NY, seeks a Vice President for its Construction & Infrastructure Surety Division to lead strategic relationship management, client retention and development of new opportunities. This role requires deep local surety expertise, superb interpersonal and organizational skills, and the ability to travel 25–40% while guiding client teams and driving revenue growth.

The VP will mentor staff, collaborate across departments, ensure accurate records, and stay current on market trends

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Surety.
• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience.
• P&C producer license (or ability to get licensed quickly).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a broad understanding of surety products and coverages.
• Supervise and manage the New York State Surety market for NFP preferably operating out of the Albany office.
• Manage the overall relationship with assigned surety clients including developing and engaging multiple relationships throughout and within the client organization.
• Travel to visit clients and engage in client development activities and entertainment. Travel approximately 25%-40%; must see clients in person on a regular basis.
• Drive revenue growth on existing and new clients through the development of a strategic consultative sales plan.
• Establish oneself as a self-starter leader with client account teams
• Establish oneself as the client's primary point of contact and communication conduit for NFP.
• Cultivate internal and external relationships to establish effective open collaboration, client advocacy, and trust.
• Develop and obtain a broad knowledge of internal operations to efficiently and effectively solve the needs of the audience and the circumstances at hand.
• Maintain accurate records of client (or prospect) contacts and their products using account management software or other technology.
• Develop expertise, and remain current, in assigned client industry and/or market area, and engage in structured continuing education.
