Job summary

Cedar Lodge Care Home in Taunton is seeking a Senior Support Worker to lead a team delivering high-quality, person-centred care for residents with complex needs. You will oversee medication administration, ensure care plans are followed and maintain accurate records.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards), strong leadership, and excellent communication. Competitive hourly rate and 36-hour week, with DBS, pension, and uniform provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or willingness to work towards.
• Medication training and competency in administration.
• Experience supporting or leading within a care environment.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• A calm, reliable and compassionate approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee medication administration and ensure care plans are followed correctly.
