Job summary

Cedar Lodge Care Home in Taunton is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to deliver high-quality, person-centred care for residents with complex needs. You will oversee medications, monitor wellbeing, and work within a supportive team to ensure safe care delivery.

You will support care planning, maintain accurate records, and communicate with families and healthcare professionals while fostering a calm, respectful environment for residents and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Level 2 in Health & Social Care is the minimum qualification.
• Medication administration training with competency.
• Experience leading or supporting a care team.
• Confidently support individuals with complex needs including mental health or behavioural support.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of high-quality, person-centred care for residents with complex needs.
• Oversee medication administration and monitor residents' wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate records and care plans; communicate with families and healthcare professionals.
• Support, guide and supervise Care Assistants to maintain a calm, stable environment.
