Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Support Engineer to support .NET API applications, integrations, and site reliability engineering (SRE) within a regulated Health IT environment.
This role focuses on ensuring the resilience, performance, and reliability of interoperability services across EHRs, HIEs, and health systems, leveraging standards such as FHIR and HL7.
The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, experience with observability tools, and a deep understanding of healthcare data exchange formats.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level support for production .NET-based API applications and integration layers
- Troubleshoot complex issues related to API transactions, system performance, and data exchange
- Monitor system health using tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, and other observability platforms
- Manage incidents and service requests via ServiceNow, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis
- Collaborate with development and product teams for smooth rollouts and post-deployment support
- Support interoperability workflows using FHIR, HL7 v2/v3, CCD/C-CDA, and other healthcare formats
- Perform advanced SQL Server querying for diagnostics and data validation
- Contribute to automation of operational tasks and playbooks to improve reliability
- Participate in on-call support rotation and incident response planning
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, HITRUST) in support operations
Required Qualifications- 5+ years of experience in application/integration support for .NET-based APIs
- Hands-on experience with C#, .NET MVC/.NET Core, .NET Web API, and Windows Services
- Basic knowledge of Azure cloud services
- Experience with Web API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI)
- Proven experience with SRE practices in production environments
- Strong SQL Server skills including complex queries and performance tuning
- Expertise in observability tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace
- Experience managing support workflows in ServiceNow
- Solid understanding of healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, C-CDA, X12)
- Familiarity with secure transport protocols (HTTPS, mTLS), OAuth 2.0, and API management tools (e.g., Apigee)
- Understanding of CI/CD and production deployment processes
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications- Experience supporting applications in cloud environments (Azure, AKS, DataBricks, Snowflake)
- Familiarity with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech) and health information exchanges (HIEs)
- Knowledge of data privacy and security practices in healthcare (HIPAA, HITRUST)
