Job summary

The University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS is seeking a Supply Technician Senior for the Main Operating Room. This role manages and maintains software replenishment systems, stocks and distributes supplies, and optimizes inventory and par levels across the Main Campus.

You will collaborate with staff to meet department expectations, verify shipments, place requisitions, and support TIC compliance while following institutional policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required, plus 1 year stock, loading, replenishing or distributing inventory experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic spreadsheet/database navigation.
• Knowledge of inventory management methods and ability to interpret utilization reports.

Responsibilities

• Audit and manage replenishment system; resolve stock issues.
• Operate replenishment software per policy and procedures.
• Set up area equipment and ensure proper stock rotation and storage.
• Monitor expired stock, identify issues, and seek resolutions.
• Maintain inventory for assigned areas and process incoming shipments.
• Place purchase requisitions for stock items and special orders.
• In absence of a supervisor, lead shift team and assign tasks.
• Open/close internal orders and ensure adherence to policies.
• Support changes to automated inventory system and report daily changes.
