Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Supply Chain Planning Specialist (Level 5) at our Elkton, MD site. The role leads material requirements, supplier management, and EVMS-driven reporting for a high-stakes defense programs environment.

Strong leadership and program experience are essential. The position emphasizes risk management, material availability, and cross-functional coordination across Purchasing, Sub-Contracts, Logistics and Production Control to ensure on-time delivery and compliance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 16+ years of related experience, or a bachelor’s with 12+ years, or a master’s with 10+ years.
• 5 years of experience managing programs, subcontracts, materials and/or services.
• Strong knowledge of CAM & Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
• Knowledge of FAR, ITAR, and MRP/ERP systems.
• Ability to acquire US Security Clearance; US citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Liaison for assigned program(s) and supply chain function including buyers, planners, subcontract administrators, scheduling, customers, and suppliers.
• Represent Northrop Grumman in PMRs and leadership briefings.
• Oversee all SCM activities to meet program requirements and link Purchasing/Sub-Contracts, Logistics and Production Control.
• Identify and mitigate material program risks and obsolescence.
• Lead material planning and execution through program phases from concept to retirement.
