Job summary

AllStar Staffing Group is seeking an experienced Procurement Buyer/Planner for a leading chemical manufacturer in Bucks County. The role supports material planning, supplier management, and cost control in a full-time, direct-hire capacity.

You will monitor MRP-driven schedules, create purchase orders, manage inventory levels, and collaborate with vendors to ensure timely deliveries and accurate pricing. Strong communication and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years within a chemical manufacturing environment, with logistics, ordering & planning experience.
• Experience with MRP, purchasing, BOM, and inventory control systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations or Business Mgmt.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule orders using MRP to support the segment.
• Create and confirm purchase orders; manage supplier deliveries.
• Maintain accurate cost fields reflecting current supplier pricing.
• Manage stocking levels and EOQ per SKU across the distribution network.
• Communicate changes to orders with vendors and track freight/rail logistics.
• Maintain PO files and reconcile invoices.

Job description

We have an immediate need for a Procurement Buyer/Planner at a leading chemical manufacturing company conveniently located in Bucks County. This is a full time direct hire opportunity. Must have purchasing experience in the chemical manufacturing industry.

Job Duties Include:

• Understand and utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to schedule orders as well as manage inventory in support of the segment responsible
• Determine order requirements within purchasing lead time and initiate purchase orders
• Create Purchase Orders per demand and confirm delivery from Suppliers
• Ensure product cost fields are accurate and reflect current active Supplier Pricing
• Calculate and manage target stocking levels and economic order quantities per SKU throughout the distribution network to ensure high customer service levels
• Ensure appropriate communication and processing of changed orders with vendors
• Management of railcars placement and chemical logistics
• Maintain purchase order files, invoice reconciliation and other related purchasing records
• Receive inventory into system and resolve discrepancies in quantities on Purchase Orders with vendors
• Recommend and assist in development of purchasing related processes and procedures

Job Requirements Include:

• 5+ years within a chemical manufacturing environment, with logistics, ordering & planning experience
• Minimum 5 years of functional experience of manufacturing computer applications; MRP, purchasing, BOM, Inventory Control Etc
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations or Business Mgmt
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Working knowledge and hands-on experience with manufacturing computer applications: MRP, purchasing, bills of material, inventory control
