Job summary

Avid Bioservices in United States (Tustin, CA) is seeking a Manager, Supply Chain Operations to own daily material handling from dock to stock, ensuring inbound, warehousing, kitting, and outbound logistics align with the manufacturing schedule in a regulated cGMP environment.

You will lead a high-performing team, drive inventory accuracy, implement Lean improvements, and coordinate with Manufacturing, Planning, Quality, and external partners to maintain audit-ready operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, life sciences, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive supply chain, warehouse, or materials-management experience in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or biologics environment.
• 2+ years of leadership experience directly managing warehouse, inventory, or material-operations teams.
• Working knowledge of cGMP and GDP requirements for material control, cold-chain storage, and inspection readiness.
• Demonstrated ownership of inventory accuracy, cycle counting, and ERP/WMS transaction integrity.
• Experience with deviations, CAPAs, and procedure management, with the ability to represent the function in client audits and regulatory inspections.
• Strong Lean/continuous-improvement orientation and excellent cross-functional communication skills.
• APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD) preferred

Responsibilities

• Direct dock-to-stock execution and sampling coordination with QC.
• Manage inbound inspection, identification, and status control per cGMP and GDP.
• Lead GMP warehouse operations for materials, ensuring labeling, segregation, and storage controls.
• Maintain controlled and cold-chain storage with continuous monitoring.
• Own ERP/WMS data integrity for all material movements and audit-ready records.
• Oversee batch kit build, campaign readiness, and staging to the production schedule.
• Coordinate material timing and release dependencies to reduce schedule risk.
• Manage on-the-floor material issuance, returns, and disposition with manufacturing.
• Lead cycle counting, variance analysis, and annual inventory.
• Oversee inbound/outbound logistics, GDP-compliant shipments and chain-of-custody.
• Provide oversight of 3PL partners and supplier transfers to ensure smooth material flow.
• Own GMP records, deviations, CAPAs, and audits as a subject-matter expert.
