Job summary

Gates Corporation, based in Denver, Colorado, is seeking a Senior Buyer/Planner to join our Mobility business unit. This role drives production planning for drive system components and oversees inventory, coordinating with domestic and overseas vendors to meet global production demands.

You will analyze demand, manage supplier relationships, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery while optimizing inventory levels and costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
• 6 years minimum of relevant supply chain experience required.
• Experience with inventory management, procurement, production planning, and forecasting.
• Global supply chain experience with order management capabilities.
• Strong analytical skills and critical thinking.
• Excellent IT skills: advanced Excel with graphs, pivot tables; Power BI preferred.
• Ability to adapt quickly and drive change.
• Manufacturing industry knowledge preferred.
• Oracle Cloud ERP / Value Chain Planning (VCP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer demand through orders and forecast to coordinate the flow of goods from multiple vendors, while maintaining inventory at desired level.
• Lead the supply planning function to further automation and accountability.
• Manage the timely flow of goods through PO creation and maintenance with end to end visibility.
• Communicate with vendors using collaborative cloud-based software to share data that ensures prioritization and on-time delivery.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure continuity of supply and minimize risks associated with supplier performance, quality, and delivery.
• Responsible for assembly scheduling and collaborating with assembly line supervisor to manage assembly line operations.
• Work with the transportation and customs compliance teams for freight quotes, expediting, and tracking of essential goods for operations.
• Assist fulfillment and other supply chain analysts to convey the delivery of products and relay any potential delays to the customer.
• Drive supply chain improvement through reporting on KPIs, identifying trends to meet annual goals and mitigating future supply risk.
