Job summary

Blue Nile is seeking an Analyst, Supply Chain Planning in New York to build analytics across forecasting, replenishment, and inventory strategy. You will own repeatable reporting, drive visibility into store performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve planning accuracy.

The role focuses on developing dashboards, ensuring data quality, and automating analyses using a Python-native stack with SQL and BI tooling. A path to planning leadership is anticipated as scope expands.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in supply chain planning, demand planning, inventory analytics, or related analytical role.
• Experience with forecasting, replenishment, or inventory management concepts.
• Experience with retail store replenishment, allocation, or store performance analytics.
• Experience in e-commerce, luxury or premium brands valued.
• Track record of delivering process or reporting improvements.

Responsibilities

• Analytics, Reporting & Performance Management: build and maintain recurring reporting and dashboards for forecast accuracy, service level, inventory turns, and replenishment health.
• Extract, clean, and reconcile data from multiple sources into decision-ready views with validation.
• Define and track planning KPIs and develop exception reporting to surface risk early.
• Investigate variance to root cause and explain drivers behind it.
• Prepare analytical inputs for weekly planning and monthly IBP cadence.
• Partner with Demand & Supply Planners, providing data, backtests, and diagnostics to improve forecasting.
• Analyse store sales performance and inventory availability to refine replenishment logic across locations.
• Contribute to assortment and SKU rationalisation analyses and evaluate fulfilment method performance.
• Automate recurring analysis in Python to reduce manual effort and scale processes.
