Blue Nile is evolving its pioneering legacy into an elevated, omnichannel luxury experience. The Analyst of Strategic Finance (FP&A) will support the Director of Strategic Finance in driving Blue Nile's strategic and financial vision.

This role partners with Operations and Merchandising to optimize margins and cost structures, and to drive automation for reporting and efficiency. This position supports scenario modeling for promotions and product launches while delivering actionable insights to

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in advisory/consulting, investment banking, FP&A, strategy, or technical field with strong analytical/data-driven approach.
• Proficiency in analysis, systems and data tools for organizing and deploying financial insights.
• Strong financial and business acumen with the ability to interpret complex data and provide meaningful recommendations.
• Experience working with large datasets with accuracy and insightful analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, plus MS Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial performance against plans and forecasts, identify gaps and provide actionable insights.
• Develop and enhance financial models, processes, and reporting to support evolving planning requirements.
• Oversee budgeting across Operations, Merchandising, and Technology, track costs vs forecasts and flag deviations.
• Assess performance metrics for leadership, delivering streamlined reports with actionable commentary.
• Drive topline growth initiatives and cost efficiency opportunities, monitoring impact of cost optimization.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to leadership with in-depth performance analysis.
• Support data transformation initiatives, including data management and reporting improvements.
• Support ad hoc projects as needed.
