Job Title: Senior Logistics Systems Analyst
Pay: $110-125k
Location: Redlands, CA (Travel Required)
Job Purpose
The Logistics Portal Super User serves as the primary subject matter expert (SME) for the organization's logistics technology platforms. This individual partners closely with Operations, Transportation, Supply Chain, and Technology teams to maximize system effectiveness, identify opportunities for improvement, resolve complex issues, and ensure users fully leverage portal capabilities. The ideal candidate combines strong engineering and analytical thinking with operational knowledge and intellectual curiosity. They enjoy understanding how systems work, questioning existing processes, identifying root causes, and designing practical solutions that improve efficiency, visibility, and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary expert for all logistics portal functionality.
- Support end users with troubleshooting, issue resolution, and system navigation.
- Investigate and resolve portal defects, data discrepancies, and workflow issues.
- Escalate technical issues appropriately and partner with development teams through resolution.
- Validate system enhancements and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Identify process inefficiencies and opportunities for automation.
- Analyze logistics workflows and recommend enhancements to improve performance, visibility, and user experience.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define business requirements for portal enhancements.
- Drive Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives related to logistics technology and transportation operations.
- Challenge existing processes and seek innovative solutions.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Monitor portal performance metrics and user adoption.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
- Create reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights.
- Validate data accuracy and ensure alignment between system outputs and operational realities.
Training & Change Management
- Develop and maintain training materials, process documentation, and standard operating procedures.
- Conduct onboarding and refresher training for users.
- Act as a change champion by communicating new functionality and process updates.
- Promote best practices and consistent system utilization across the organization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Operations, Transportation, Supply Chain, Product, Vendors, and Technology teams.
- Facilitate discussions to understand business challenges and translate operational needs into technical requirements.
- Support rollout of new features, system releases, and strategic technology initiatives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor for logistics technology decisions.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Operations Management, or related field.
- 3-7 years of experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse operations, supply chain systems, or technology support.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong sense of teamwork
- Experience with transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, or logistics platforms.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to interpret operational and technical information.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Supply Chain Engineering, or similar technical background.
- Experience participating in system implementations or software development projects.
