Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, a leading aerospace manufacturer, seeks a Supplier Process Control Engineer to drive process capability improvements with suppliers. The role emphasizes APQP/PPAP coaching, quality systems compliance, and cross-functional collaboration across Procurement and Engineering to ensure high-quality parts for customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering or related field.
• Advanced degree preferred with 7+ years experience.
• 3–5 years Quality Engineering in aerospace production/manufacturing.
• Experience with AS9100/ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Knowledge of AS13100 Chapter B.
• Proficiency with APQP quality tools (PFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, DFMEA, FAI, GR&R, GD&T).
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification and process improvement coaching.
• ASQ CQE/CQM certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coach suppliers and internal customers on APQP/PPAP elements.
• Ensure compliance with PW quality systems and supplier requirements.
• Mentor suppliers and peers in process control and continuous improvement.
• Maintain relationships with Procurement, Engineering, Value Stream Managers, and suppliers.
• Collaborate to execute supply base improvement plans to raise quality metrics.
• Support VCAB reviews and communicate with all organization levels.
• Drive product/process improvements to meet quality metrics and supplier maturity.
• Lead cross-functional activities to improve supplier quality signatures.
