Job summary

Veeco Instruments Inc. in New Jersey is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer IV to lead supplier quality strategy across a global supplier base. You will partner with Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain to drive quality from supplier selection through full-rate production.

The role demands deep manufacturing and quality expertise, data-driven decisions, and the ability to influence stakeholders across functions. Travel up to 25–50% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years in supplier/ manufacturing quality roles.
• Experience with supplier audits and NPI support is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute supplier quality strategies to improve performance and reduce risk.
• Lead supplier qualification, development, and performance management for critical suppliers and contract manufacturers.
• Establish supplier quality metrics, scorecards, and improvement plans that drive quality, delivery, and cost improvements.
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments of quality systems and processes.
• Lead complex root cause investigations and corrective actions (8D, DMAIC, A3, 5-Why).
• Support New Product Introduction and production transfers with supplier teams.
