Job summary

Twenty-Six Defense, based in Fort Worth, TX, seeks a Senior Manager of Supplier Quality Engineering to lead the supplier quality team and drive proactive quality initiatives. You will partner with Supply Chain, Program Managers, and external suppliers to assure on-time, high-quality parts across the lifecycle and new product introductions.

The role requires a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, 5+ years of leadership, and deep experience with ERP/MRP systems, blueprints, and supplier performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree + 12 years experience required or equivalent, related work experience and/or military service in lieu of degree.
• Degree Field Preferred: Engineering/Manufacturing or equivalent Technical degree.
• 5+ years in project or team leadership required.
• Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent.
• Experience embedding advanced quality concepts into New Product Introduction (NPI).
• Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP planning software.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills for supplier engagement.
• Proven extensive background in Supplier Quality Management.
• Experience with Process Improvement.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Knowledge in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing; measurement tools; material processes; surface finishing; destructive and non‑destructive testing; drawings and CAD models; manufacturing techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to Supplier Quality Engineers and collaborate with Supply Chain and Program Managers.
• Monitor and evaluate Key Supplier Performance.
• Chair monthly Supplier Performance reviews with internal stakeholders.
• Lead Supplier Performance Reviews with suppliers to review scorecards.
• Develop and maintain quality assurance systems with suppliers across product lifecycles.
• Collaborate to improve supplier performance procedures and initiatives.
• Support development of Supplier Statements of Work.
• Drive Front End Processes for proactive supplier performance management.
• Identify and maintain KPIs with returns-to-green plans.
• Initiate targeted Zero-Defect Plans with suppliers.
• Participate in Supplier Corrective Action Reviews and ensure effective actions.
• Recommend supplier approvals or suspensions as needed.
• Resolve complex system-level issues with multi-discipline teams.
• Plan and budget resources for the Supplier Quality Engineering Department.
• Inspect receiving and source processes for quality improvements.
