Saab, Inc. seeks a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to oversee external supplier quality for Grayling, MI or Auburn Hills, MI.

The role requires up to 50% travel and covers supplier selection, monitoring, corrective actions, source inspections, and involvement in NPI to assure design and quality compliance. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Engineering/Quality with 6+ years or a Master’s with 4+ years, experience in AS9102, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with supplier quality management systems and auditing practices.
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools.
• Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspections.
• Travel to supplier locations for on-site assessments and audits.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supplier quality from selection to development and audits.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive quality improvements.
• Develop corrective actions with suppliers and prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with engineering on NPI to ensure quality.
