Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking a highly experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to oversee vendor performance and ensure conformance to purchase requirements. You will travel to supplier locations, review data, perform capability assessments, audits, and root-cause analyses to support Navy submarine programs and the company’s quality goals.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or Engineering Technology is required
• 5+ years of professional post grad engineering experience
• Ability to travel (potentially extensively at times)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET DoD security clearance

Responsibilities

• Review Ordering Data, Supplier Capability Assessments, and Supplier’s Quality Management System Reviews.
• Perform Problem Resolution, Process Audits / Surveillance and Product Inspection.
• Evaluate material defects and quality trends to identify where root cause assessments and corrective actions are required.
• Travel to Supplier locations to understand manufacturing and quality practices and ensure PO requirements are met
