Job summary

ALOIS Solutions is seeking a skilled Supplier Quality Engineer with hands-on metal fabrication experience. You will evaluate suppliers, perform audits, inspect welded assemblies, and review GD&T and weld symbols. You will develop inspection and PFMEA plans and lead root-cause analysis using 8D and 5 Whys.

Collaboration with suppliers and internal teams will drive process capability and on-time delivery. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in quality or supplier quality in metal fabrication, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field.
• 3+ years in quality engineering or supplier quality.
• Hands-on welding inspections, stamping, laser cutting.
• Ability to read GD&T, weld symbols, and drawings.
• Experience with inspection tools: calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs.
• Knowledge of SPC, MSA, process capability, and quality systems.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and qualify suppliers for metal fabrication processes.
• Conduct supplier audits and assess processes, equipment, and quality systems.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of welded assemblies.
• Review drawings, GD&T, weld symbols, and material specs.
• Develop inspection plans, control plans, and PFMEAs.
• Support FAI, PPAP submissions, and new product introductions.
• Lead root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to improve quality and delivery.
