ALOIS Solutions is seeking a skilled Supplier Quality Engineer with hands-on metal fabrication experience. You will evaluate suppliers, perform audits, inspect welded assemblies, and review GD&T and weld symbols. You will develop inspection and PFMEA plans and lead root-cause analysis using 8D and 5 Whys.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field.
• 3+ years in quality engineering or supplier quality.
• Hands-on welding inspections, stamping, laser cutting.
• Ability to read GD&T, weld symbols, and drawings.
• Experience with inspection tools: calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs.
• Knowledge of SPC, MSA, process capability, and quality systems.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

We're Hiring: Supplier Quality Engineer – Metal Fabrication

We are looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer with hands-on expertise in metal fabrication, welding inspections, metal stamping, and laser cutting. The ideal candidate will evaluate manufacturing processes, ensure product quality, and work closely with suppliers to improve manufacturing capabilities and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and qualify suppliers for metal fabrication processes, including welding, stamping, laser cutting, forming, and assembly.
• Conduct supplier audits and assess manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality systems.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of welded assemblies.
• Review engineering drawings, GD&T, weld symbols, and material specifications.
• Evaluate metal stamping and laser cutting processes for quality and accuracy.
• Develop and review inspection plans, control plans, and PFMEAs.
• Support First Article Inspections (FAI), PPAP submissions, and new product introductions.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions using 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone analysis.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to improve quality, process capability, and delivery performance.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Quality, Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or supplier quality within metal fabrication.
• Hands-on experience with welding inspections, metal stamping, and laser cutting.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and weld symbols.
• Experience with dimensional inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMMs.
• Knowledge of SPC, MSA, process capability, and quality management systems.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CWI, CQE, or Six Sigma certification.
• Experience with MIG, TIG, resistance, or robotic welding.
• Knowledge of AWS welding codes and non-destructive testing methods.
• Experience in supplier development and qualification.
