Microchip Technology Inc is seeking a Senior Engineer I - Component to support and drive development, qualification, and management of critical suppliers and components used in advanced manufacturing and semiconductor-related assemblies. This role is ideal for a Mechanical Engineer with a strong Materials Science background who thrives at engineering, supplier quality, and manufacturing processes.

You will play a key role in ensuring reliability, supplier performance, and material/process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years in engineering, supplier quality and manufacturing.
• Strong background in materials science and process-material interactions.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier qualification, audits, and capability assessments.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships with focus on continuous improvement.
• Review drawings, specifications, and material/process requirements.
• Lead or support root cause investigations related to supplier quality issues.
