Job summary

Shure is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to lead supplier quality efforts for ODM, JDM, and CEM partners, driving improvements from concept to launch. You will partner with product development, operations, and suppliers to ensure world-class quality and participate in global manufacturing operations.

The role offers high autonomy and travel opportunities, with hybrid work based out of the Niles, IL HQ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Quality Engineering or similar.
• 5+ years in quality engineering, preferably with JDM/ODM partners.
• Experience with contract manufacturers (JDM/ODM/CEM) collaboration models and managing remote supplier relationships.
• ASQ certification as a CQE and/or CSQP is preferred.
• Ability to remain current with best practice trends in supplier quality and ISO 9000.

Responsibilities

• Qualify suppliers, components and products for sale according to Shure standards.
• Develop production part approval package requirements and inspection instructions.
• Represent supplier quality in product development and commodity teams.
• Participate in design reviews as the voice of the supplier.
• Evaluate supplier performance and drive corrective actions and containment.
