Job summary

MANN+HUMMEL is seeking a Supplier Quality Development Engineer for die casting in Portage, MI. You will lead supplier qualification, drive continuous improvement, and ensure conformance to IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 standards in a global automotive context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher in Mechanical, Industrial, or Materials Science.
• Minimum 15 years in die casting and supplier quality.
• VDA 6.3 auditor certification (A/BII/C).

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier qualification and development activities.
• Review supplier performance and enforce corrective actions.
• Plan process audits per VDA 6.3 at external suppliers.
• Stop non-conforming deliveries when needed to protect customers.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
