Job summary

PowerSecure is seeking a seasoned Supplier Quality Engineer to support the supplier quality manager in ensuring supplier processes align with design intent and PowerSecure’s requirements. The role emphasizes process improvement, risk analysis, and supplier development across the supply base.

Applicants should have a BS in engineering, plus 5+ years in supplier quality, with experience in PFMEA/Control Plans/MSA, ERP systems like SAP/IFS, and strong problem‑solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• BS degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
• ASQ certification preferred
• Minimum 5 years in supplier quality engineering or similar
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent project management skills
• Experience with supplier development and qualification
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
• Experience with SAP or IFS ERP
• Experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, and MSA
• Experience with auditing new suppliers
• Experience with measurement systems evaluation
• Expertise in root cause tools (8D, 5-Why, Red X)

Responsibilities

• Execute PowerSecure supplier quality functions including Advanced Quality Planning and CI
• Manage supplier qualification process and on‑site audits
• Monitor quality performance and drive KPI improvements
• Lead supplier introduction, qualification, and technical evaluations
• Advise on supplier selections and corrective actions
• Define incoming inspection requirements via risk analysis
• Support quality system changes to drive manufacturing efficiency
• Promote a 'Right the First Time' culture
• Review manufacturability of assembly specs with engineering
• Participate in internal quality system audits
• Travel to supplier sites for audits and process reviews (up to ~50%)
