Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in Santa Clara, CA is hiring a Senior Supplier Engineer for an on-site role. You will design, develop, and validate manufacturing solutions for Direct Material components and assemblies, ensuring scalable production and mentoring junior engineers.

You will work with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, apply Six Sigma and Lean principles, and drive supplier performance to meet cost and quality targets.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Understanding of manufacturing process characterization, development and validation.
• Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 820 and ISO 13485.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate component and sub-assembly processes at suppliers for new product development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing, product performance and cost.
• Apply manufacturing principles and risk management to resolve complex challenges.
• Drive suppliers to improve process performance across multiple sites.
• Ensure robust requirements cascade from design to suppliers.
• Support corrective actions with root-cause analysis and CAPA.
