Job summary

Air Force Civilian Service at Nellis AFB, NV seeks a Supervisory General Engineer-GS-0801-13 to lead the Civil Engineer Squadron Project Management Element. This key role directs, plans, and coordinates contractor-led facility projects, including A&E contracts, IDIQs, SABER, MACC, and BPAs, ensuring compliance with federal regulations.

The ideal candidate has a strong multidisciplinary engineering background, with knowledge of construction practices and DoD PPBS.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• KCP position designation.
• Security clearance required.
• Site access involving construction environments.
• Drug testing designation with pre-employment testing.
• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree highly desired.
• PE/RA licensure desirable but not required.
• May serve in Emergency Response Force during exercises or emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct the Element activities and goals.
• Provide supervisory personnel management and guidance.
• Represent the Element with base organizations and external offices.
• Coordinate issues with higher headquarters and external agencies.
• Develop and execute the Element budget and PPBS documentation.
• Reference OPM 0801 General Engineering Series for the role.
