Job summary

Hanger Fabrication Network in Lenexa, KS seeks a Senior Supervisor, Fabrication to lead a team delivering orthotic and prosthetic devices. You will coordinate resources, manage workflows, and ensure safety and quality in a fast-paced fabrication environment.

The role requires experience in orthotics/prosthetics fabrication or broad manufacturing leadership, with a focus on supervision, workflow optimization, and cost-effective operations. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years in orthotics/prosthetics fabrication OR 7+ years in general manufacturing/fabrication.
  • Preferred candidates hold a BS in Business Administration, Production Operations, or O&P.
  • Experience managing orthotics/prosthetics production and supervising teams.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate resources to meet quality, production and financial objectives.
  • Organize daily workflow to maximize productivity while maintaining quality.
  • Schedule and expedite all department work.
  • Order materials and components to meet daily production schedule.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop department personnel.
  • Facilitate communication between practitioners and technicians on technical issues.
  • Build communications between Central Fabrication and customers, branches, Purchasing and departments.
  • Provide pricing for work performed.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and OSHA compliance.
  • Create and distribute department reports and summaries.
  • Adhere to administrative and financial policies; foster team spirit.
  • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.

Mange through subordinate supervisors and managers a team responsible for the delivery of O&P devices. Coordinate the timely and cost effective delivery of fabricated devices. Ensure adherence to all safety and administrative policies and procedures.

Your Impact

Depending on the operational requirements, size of the Hanger Clinic and, subject to limitations imposed by state and/or local law, this position may include some or all of the functions listed below.

  • Plan and coordinate available resources to achieve quality, production and financial objectives.
  • Organize daily work flow to produce highest productivity possible within the department while maintaining product quality.
  • Responsible for scheduling and expediting all work through the department.
  • Order all necessary materials and components required to meet daily production schedule.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop department personnel.
  • Facilitate communication between practitioners and technicians on technical issues to enhance quality control.
  • Build good communications between the Central Fabrication department and its customers, branches, Central Purchasing and all departments within Hanger.
  • Provide all pricing for work performed.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and promote "safety awareness" among employees.
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and other governmental rules and regulations.
  • Create and distribute all department reports and summaries.
  • Ensure adherence to all administrative and financial policies and procedures; develop company spirit and teamwork within the department.
  • Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years in orthotics/prosthetics fabrication OR 7+ years in general manufacturing/fabrication.
Preferred
  • BS in Business Administration, Production Operations, O&P.
  • 5 years of experience in Orthotics/Prosthetics production management, including team supervision and workflow optimization.
  • American Board Certified (ABC) registered technician preferred in Orthotics and or Prosthetics
