Job summary

Hanger, Inc. is seeking a production-focused manager to lead the Orthotics/Prosthetics fabrication team in aligning resources with quality, productivity and financial targets.

You will organize daily workflows, schedule tasks, and coordinate materials while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across the Central Fabrication department. Strong leadership and communication are essential to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years in orthotics/prosthetics fabrication OR 7+ years in general manufacturing/fabrication.
• BS in Business Administration, Production Operations, O&P preferred.
• 5 years of experience in Orthotics/Prosthetics production management, including supervision and workflow optimization.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate available resources to achieve quality, production and financial objectives.
• Organize daily work flow to maximize productivity while maintaining product quality.
• Schedule and expedite all work through the department.
• Order materials and components to meet daily production schedule.
• Recruit, hire, train, and develop department personnel.
• Facilitate communication between practitioners and technicians on technical issues.
• Build communications between Central Fabrication and customers, branches, and purchasing.
• Provide pricing for work performed.
• Maintain a safe working environment and safety culture.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulations.
• Create and distribute department reports and summaries.
• Adhere to policies and procedures and foster teamwork.

Mange through subordinate supervisors and managers a team responsible for the delivery of O&P devices. Coordinate the timely and cost effective delivery of fabricated devices. Ensure adherence to all safety and administrative policies and procedures.

Your Impact

• Facilitate communication between practitioners and technicians on technical issues to enhance quality control.
• Build good communications between the Central Fabrication department and its customers, branches, Central Purchasing and all departments within Hanger.
• Provide all pricing for work performed.
• Ensure a safe working environment and promote “safety awareness” among employees.
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and other governmental rules and regulations.
• Create and distribute all department reports and summaries.
• Ensure adherence to all administrative and financial policies and procedures; develop company spirit and teamwork within the department.
• Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years in orthotics/prosthetics fabrication OR 7+ years in general manufacturing/fabrication.

Preferred

• BS in Business Administration, Production Operations, O&P.
• 5 years of experience in Orthotics/Prosthetics production management, including team supervision and workflow optimization.
• American Board Certified (ABC) registered technician preferred in Orthotics and or Prosthetics
