Job summary

The Walsh Group - Walsh Construction & Archer Western in Virginia Beach is seeking a Senior Superintendent for the Transportation division to lead high-rise residential projects. You will plan, coordinate, and supervise on-site execution to finish safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Responsibilities include selecting field personnel, controlling costs, coordinating crews, and ensuring adherence to contract documents and Walsh safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• 10+ years of construction experience.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Some roles may require relocation.

Responsibilities

• Planning and implementing construction means/methods for all aspects of residential high-rise projects, schedules, productivity innovations, and site logistics.
• Selection of field site personnel.
• Monitoring job costs and productivity on projects.
• On-site co-ordination of manpower, materials and equipment.
• Developing, monitoring and executing the project construction plan and schedule.
• Supervising, training, coaching and mentoring field personnel.
• Demonstrating commitment to Walsh Safety and Quality programs.
• Organizing and coordinating all subcontractor activities.
• Project close-out; responsible for final inspections, deficiencies, warranty work and site demolition.
• Working with the Owners to ensure the projects are being built in accordance with the contract documents.
• Participates in development and review of work plans for major/high-risk activities.
