Path Construction Southwest is seeking a qualified Superintendent to join our organization in the Austin, TX area. We are a rapidly growing commercial general contractor with offices in Arlington Heights, IL; Dallas, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Knoxville, TN; Charlotte, NC; and Tampa, FL serving clients and projects throughout the United States.

The right candidate will have 7+ years of construction management experience in various asset classes including, but not limited to: Higher Education, Retail, Multi-family, Hospitality, Healthcare, Restaurant, Transportation, Water and Waste Treatment, Self-Storage, Senior Living, Convention Centers, Laboratories, Correctional, etc. We seek individuals with strong technical skills, good communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail.

Duties for Superintendents include:

1. Leading and managing subcontractors
2. Overseeing all project phases from planning to completion for public and private projects across multiple industries
3. Administering safety programs and ensuring site safety
4. Representing customer service and managing quality control programs

We are looking for Superintendents who are experts in general construction techniques, problem-solving, and specialized areas such as concrete, masonry, metals, wood & plastics, moisture proofing, openings, finishes, specialties, equipment, conveying systems, fire suppression, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, communication, security, earthwork, exterior improvements, utilities, demolition, etc.

Requirements

• 7+ years of construction management experience
• OSHA Site Safety certification
• Proficiency with modern technology and excellent communication skills
• Technical knowledge of construction facets listed above
• Understanding of construction principles and practices
• Strong work ethic, team-oriented, growth-minded
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel

Preferred

• 9+ years of experience in construction management
• Relevant degrees or experience in commercial, hospital, public projects, or multi-family developments
• Estimating experience
• Familiarity with project management software (Microsoft Office, SAGE 300 CRE)
• OSHA 30 Hour Training
• LEED project experience
• Experience with multi-story construction
