Job summary

A leading healthcare company is seeking a Senior Superintendent in Kansas City to oversee field coordination, quality control, and supervision of subcontractors for construction projects. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience, preferably in commercial and life sciences construction. This position offers a salary range of $160,000 to $180,000, along with various benefits including medical and dental insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of field experience in commercial projects.
• Commercial and Life Science construction experience is preferred.
• Experience in a supervisory role as a General Foreman, Field Engineer, or Assistant Superintendent.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the project schedule and maintains status reports.
• Supervises subcontracted work forces and ensures quality control.
• Reviews project progress with the Project Manager and clients.
• Ensures safety standards and requirements are met on-site.
• Directs sub contractor activities within pharma projects.

Summary

The Senior Superintendent is responsible for the timely and cost-effective field coordination, quality control and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted work forces for construction projects.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepares the project schedule, maintains reports accurately describing project status
• Responsible for the timely and cost effective field coordination, quality control and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted work forces for construction projects
• Reviews status and project progress with the Project Manager and client representatives on a regular basis. Large projects include multiple Superintendents.
• Ensures safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others when operating tools and equipment.
• Directs sub contractor activities within pharma projects
• Analyzes manpower, material, equipment requirements, and interfaces the requirements with others as designated by supervising superintendent.
• Implements and enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction Management
• Prepares reports and forecasts, as required, and keeps supervisors informed on progress of overall assigned activities
• Ensures safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others when in the operational area, tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of field experience in commercial projects.
• Commercial and Life Science construction experience is preferred.
• Experience should include some supervisory responsibility as a General Foreman, Field Engineer or Assistant Superintendent.
• Well developed, communications, interpersonal, organizational and team work skills are required

The full salary range for this position is $160,000 to $180,000. This position is eligible for a target bonus.
