Job summary

Kimmel & Associates is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead field operations on an approximately $800 million, ground-up correctional facility along the Gulf Coast of Alabama/Florida. The role oversees onsite construction, safety, quality, scheduling, logistics, and subcontractor coordination on a highly complex, multi-building project.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of construction experience with major field leadership responsibility.
• Extensive detention, correctional, or prison construction experience.
• Proven ability to lead large field organizations and multiple subs.
• Ability and willingness to work full-time onsite along the Gulf Coast.

Responsibilities

• Lead all onsite construction and field operations for a major correctional facility.
• Direct large field teams, subcontractors, and trade partners.
• Establish project schedules using Primavera P6 or comparable software.
• Coordinate sequencing, materials, site logistics, and manpower.
• Drive safety, quality, productivity, and schedule performance.
• Monitor progress and resolve field issues.
• Coordinate with project management and leadership.
• Support planning, risk management, and execution strategies.
• Ensure work complies with contract requirements and quality standards.
• Provide strong field leadership throughout all phases.
