Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. is seeking a Commercial Construction Senior Superintendent in Raleigh, NC to direct on-site work, uphold safety and quality standards, and lead subcontractor coordination.

You will drive daily logs, manage the punch list and work with the project manager to maintain schedule and project quality. The role requires 8–10 years of commercial construction experience, a four-year degree preferred, and strong leadership and communication skills for a fast-paced, occupied-space

Qualifications

• A four-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.
• 8-10 years' experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Tenant renovations, service work, work in occupied spaces, weekend work, fast paced project experience all a plus.
• Mastery of building processes and best practices.
• Ability to organize necessary resources, including people, tools and time to meet tight deadlines and achieve desired results.
• Project lead experience preferred; previous superintendent or project lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand and administer safety programs for all subcontractors and assist with safety inspections.
• Maintain quality standards for all aspects of the project and manage on-site safety.
• Maintain daily log of activities and site conditions, manage punch lists and closeout through owner/architect acceptance.
• Collaborate with the project manager to formulate project schedule and ensure installation methods follow schedule commitments.
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors and ensure fair treatment, identify long lead items and expedite when needed.
• Ensure accurate daily documentation of work orders and sub-contractor scope to avoid change orders; resolve problems promptly.
• Organize the site team, arrange temporary facilities/utilities, and coordinate long lead items.
• Communicate project priorities clearly to site staff and subcontractors; lead on-site for construction project.
