Job summary

Vantage Consulting seeks a Senior Superintendent, Electrical Construction to lead large-scale electrical projects across Texas, overseeing field teams, schedules, safety, and quality compliance. Projects are typically valued at $20M+ and require close coordination with general contractors, clients, and engineers.

You will manage Superintendents, Foremen and crews, ensuring on-time delivery and OSHA safety standards while traveling 100% to project sites. Relocation and per diem support available.

Qualifications

Senior Superintendent, Electrical Construction

Location: Texas, candidates can live anywhere in the state

Salary: $150,000 to $200,000 + DOE

Travel: 100% to assigned project site (per-diem package included)

Relocation: Relocation support available for out-of-state candidates

We are working with a well-established electrical and network specialty contractor with decades of experience delivering large-scale commercial and mission-critical projects across Texas. They are currently looking for an experienced Senior Superintendent to take a leadership role on major electrical construction projects, typically valued at $20M+. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical construction leader who wants to take ownership of large, complex projects and lead sizeable field teams.

Project Locations

Projects are located throughout Texas, including:

• Houston
• Austin
• San Antonio
• West Texas
• Waco
• Hubbard
• Three Stone

Candidates can choose where they live within Texas, provided they can travel to and work 100% on-site at their assigned project location (relocation and per diem package included).

The Role

As Senior Superintendent, you will have primary jobsite responsibility for the successful delivery of large-scale electrical construction projects. You will lead and coordinate Superintendents, Foremen, electricians, subcontractors and other project personnel, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day field operations on large commercial electrical construction projects.
• Manage and provide direction to Superintendents, Foremen and electrical crews.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment and subcontractors to maintain project schedules.
• Establish production sequences and coordinate electrical work with other trades and contractors.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, including OSHA compliance and site-specific safety requirements.
• Participate in safety and incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are addressed.
• Work closely with General Contractors, clients, inspectors, architects, engineers and subcontractors.
• Identify and resolve construction issues including productivity, material shortages and work-interface challenges.
• Attend pre-construction, coordination and construction meetings.
• Review drawings, specifications and project requirements to ensure work is installed correctly.
• Coordinate with engineering, estimating, planning, purchasing, logistics, quality and safety teams.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure contractual obligations are met.
• Maintain project schedules and ensure manpower and resources are aligned with project requirements.
• Review RFIs and identify issues that could impact project delivery.
• Support change-order activities and ensure approved changes are properly implemented.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including as-builts and inspection records.
• Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, inspectors and other project stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality and overall project performance.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with applicable state regulations, codes and project requirements.

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of electrical construction experience.
• Strong background in commercial electrical construction.
• Previous experience as an Electrical Superintendent, Senior Superintendent, General Superintendent or similar field leadership position.
• Experience managing large-scale electrical projects valued at $20M+.
• Proven ability to lead Superintendents, Foremen and large electrical crews.
• Experience working on complex commercial, industrial, mission-critical, semiconductor, data center or similarly demanding projects is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of electrical construction methods, processes and best practices.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications and project documentation.
• Strong understanding of construction scheduling, manpower planning and resource coordination.
• Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and construction safety practices.
• Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Texas Journeyman electrical license, or willingness to obtain one, is preferred.
• Willingness and ability to work 100% on-site at the assigned project location.
