As our company has grown, our needs continue to evolve to keep pace with the ever-changing needs of our clients. One constant value that is woven throughout our history is our focus on teamwork- we believe communication and collaboration drive our efficiency and productivity.

About the Job

The Senior Superintendent for Washington, D.C. area will be the driving force behind the success of our project—leading and coordinating all on-site operations while partnering closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Field Personnel, and cross-functional office teams. This role ensures every project is delivered with precision—on time, on budget, and with the highest standard of quality—while fostering collaboration, solving challenges in real time, and exceeding client expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead construction planning and execution on site — coordinating subcontractor crews, sequencing trades, overseeing logistics, and ensuring daily progress aligns with short- and long-term schedules.
  • Oversee quality assurance and control, conducting walkthroughs, monitoring craftsmanship and finishes, verifying compliance with drawings/specifications, and addressing deficiencies immediately.
  • Provide on-site leadership, actively supervising field staff, directing daily activities, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring smooth coordination between trades.
  • Enforce Safety and Compliance by implementing company safety policies and OSHA standards while upholding all state and local building regulations, Department of Labor requirements, and permitting processes to maintain a safe, compliant, and hazard-free job site.
  • Manage client and stakeholder interaction directly at the job site — hosting site visits, walking owners/designers through progress, and addressing issues in real time.
  • Apply technical proficiency in reviewing shop drawings, permits, and inspection requirements, while leveraging Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project to track schedules, RFIs, costs, and progress.
  • Drive problem-solving and decision-making on site, resolving conflicts, adapting to changes in conditions, and ensuring the project stays on budget, schedule, and quality expectations.
  • Mentor junior superintendents, lead foreman meetings, and direct field crews.
  • Represent Reis with professionalism and accountability, ensuring every detail on site reflects our commitment to excellence in luxury construction.
  • In depth understanding of high-end construction operations and processes.
  • 12+ years of building experience in high- end residential market.
  • Previous experience as a construction superintendent.
  • Proficient in understanding architectural drawings.
  • Up to date on local building codes.
  • Up to date on OSHA safety requirements.
  • Excellent communication and managerial skills.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, conflict resolution and planning skills.
