Job summary

Reis Contracting is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead high-end residential projects in the Washington DC area, collaborating with the site superintendent and PM team to ensure quality, schedule, and client satisfaction.

You will manage planning, procurement, and communications with owners, architects, and vendors, while maintaining budgets and documentation across all project phases. A 7+ year track record and a Bachelor's degree are required.

  • 7+ years of building experience in high-end residential market.
  • Bachelor’s degree is a must.
  • Proficient in understanding architectural drawings.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and managerial skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning and execution — overseeing all phases from pre-construction through implementation and serving as the primary point of contact with owners, architects, designers, and building officials.
  • Drive scheduling and resource coordination — developing and maintaining project schedules, sequencing critical milestones, updating timelines to reflect progress and partnering with the Superintendent to align resources and field supervision.
  • Manage procurement and subcontractor relationships — securing subcontractors and suppliers, preparing accurate bid packages, and ensuring scope completeness and alignment with project requirements.
  • Administer change orders and scope modifications — reviewing, pricing, negotiating, and obtaining approvals while keeping budgets, schedules, and client expectations aligned.
  • Oversee technical reviews and approvals — evaluating drawings, material samples, and submittals for accuracy and consistency prior to release to the client.
  • Oversee project financial management — collaborating with finance to prepare monthly requisitions, tracking project costs, and maintaining detailed profitability analyses.
  • Maintain documentation and compliance — managing all project records, including plans, specifications, agreements, changes in scope, clarifications, and as-built documents.
  • Lead client and stakeholder communication — hosting monthly budget and schedule review meetings with Owners and Architects, focusing on risk identification, issue resolution, and project transparency.

About the Project Manager Role

We are looking for an experienced project manager to manage our high-end residential projects in Washington D.C area. This position will work closely with the site superintendent and project management team throughout the build process. The ideal candidate will have the technical skills required and intimate knowledge of the unique opportunities and challenges that arise in the high-end construction environment. They will also have the professionalism and care to manage our critical relationships with our clients, partners and in-house team. This is an exciting role that puts you in the middle of building some of the most beautiful and one-of-a-kind residences in the DC area.
