Job summary

We Search People is assisting a well-established mid-sized Commercial General Contractor in Tampa to hire a Superintendent with 3+ years of commercial construction experience. You will manage daily site activities, coordinate subcontractors, read plans, and maintain safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate can read drawings, schedule crews, and use Procore and construction management software. OSHA 30 certification is preferred and strong communication and organization are essential for

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial construction experience.
• Strong reading of plans, specifications, and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily construction activities on commercial projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are achieved.
• Review plans, specifications, and drawings to ensure work is completed correctly.
• Monitor workmanship, quality control, and project compliance.
• Conduct regular site inspections and coordinate inspections with local authorities.
• Maintain a safe jobsite and enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
• Identify and resolve field issues and coordinate solutions with the Project Manager.
• Attend and lead project meetings as required.
• Track materials, deliveries, manpower, and jobsite progress.
• Maintain accurate daily reports and project documentation.
• Communicate effectively with Project Managers, subcontractors, clients, and other project stakeholders.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Superintendent with 3+ years commercial construction experience to join a growing GC.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or similar field leadership role.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction processes and sequencing.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of subcontractor coordination and scheduling.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Procore experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills and ability to use construction management software.
