Job summary

Qualifications

Senior Superintendent - Healthcare & Complex Commercial

Location: Columbus, OH | Initial Project in Dayton | Relocation Assistance Available

We're partnering with an established General Contractor seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to lead healthcare and complex commercial construction projects in Ohio.

The initial assignment is a $200M ground-up behavioral health facility in Dayton, with approximately 18 months remaining. You'll serve as the lead field Superintendent, supported by an area General Superintendent, a dedicated MEP Project Manager, and two MEP Superintendents.

This is a permanent Ohio opportunity, with future projects primarily supporting the Columbus region. It's a strong fit for someone who wants to take ownership of sizable projects and build a long-term career in the area.

What You'll Do:

• Lead field operations, coordinating construction activities through project completion.
• Provide direction and support to Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and subcontractors.
• Manage jobsite logistics, trade sequencing, and schedule milestones.
• Lead daily field meetings and subcontractor coordination meetings.
• Work closely with the dedicated MEP team to align building systems work with the overall construction schedule.
• Anticipate field challenges, resolve issues, and keep work moving.
• Maintain high standards for safety, quality, and accountability.
• Partner with project management, owners, and design teams to deliver a successful project.

What They're Looking For:

• Typically 8-10+ years of construction experience, with a strong track record leading field operations for a General Contractor
• Senior Superintendent experience, or an experienced lead Superintendent ready to take the next step
• Healthcare, hospital, airport, or other large commercial project experience
• Ground-up hospital experience around the $200M range is a strong plus; deep healthcare or MEP expertise is not required
• Proven ability to lead field teams, coordinate multiple trades, and drive schedules
• Strong planning, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Long-term commitment to Ohio and willingness to support the initial Dayton assignment, followed by future work primarily in the Columbus region
