Job summary

Howard Energy Partners is seeking a Senior Manager, Corporate Development – Subsurface Strategy to provide technical subsurface expertise across basins and support strategic planning. You will evaluate inventories, forecast performance, and contribute to long‑term infrastructure planning while leading a developing technical team.

The role requires strong communication, reservoir engineering knowledge, and experience with forecasting and analytics tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years upstream oil and gas experience.
• Experience with production data analysis and decline curve forecasting.
• Proficiency with Enverus, Aries, ComboCurve, Excel/VBA, Power BI and GIS.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate well performance using production data and decline curve analysis.
• Assess drilling inventories, spacing, and completion designs.
• Analyze acreage quality, reservoir characteristics, and operator strategies.
• Forecast future production, rig activity, and well counts.
• Lead subsurface diligence for M&A and strategic investments.
• Develop technical recommendations for leadership and IC materials.
