Job summary

LinxonAmericas in Puerto Rico on-site is seeking a Subject Matter Expert, Secondary Engineering, to lead and execute protection and control, SCADA, and substation automation across AIS, GIS, BESS, wind, and data center projects.

You will work with project leads, BIM engineers, and primary engineers, reporting to the Engineering Manager, with strong growth potential to Lead Engineer within 3–5 years.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years or Master's with 3+ years.
• P.Eng. certification required.
• Exposure to ETAP and SEL tools; CAD skills (AutoCAD, MicroStation); MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead secondary engineering for major AIS/GIS, BESS, Rail, Data Center, and Wind projects.
• Develop specifications, BOMs, and coordinated designs to streamline procurement and construction.
• Resolve vendor bid and design issues early for cost-effective, integrated solutions.
• Provide expert protection, control, SCADA, and automation guidance to improve performance.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and project teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Review designs, support testing, and uphold quality standards for construction-ready deliverables.
