Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Sr Protection and Control Engineer to lead substation projects from Tulsa, OK, with responsibilities spanning scopes, diagrams, and design decisions. The role supports our utility customer with minimal direction, collaborating with in-house and client engineers for success.

Requirements include a Bachelor's and possibly a Master's in Electrical Engineering, plus a PE license. The position offers remote work with travel to sites as needed and a competitive hourly pay range.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Master’s degree will count toward years of experience.
• PE License required.

Responsibilities

• Develop project scopes, one-line diagrams, and estimates for substation projects.
• Review substation construction drawings and verify code compliance.
• Engineer and design lightning protection, grounding, and equipment replacement for substations.
• Lead substation projects and coordinate work within teams.
• Provide training and guidance to lower-level engineers.
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.
