Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company seeks a Senior Substation Project Engineer for a 1-year contract in Juno Beach, FL. You will lead a team, apply diverse engineering principles, and oversee renewable generation substation projects from conception to commissioning.

Preferred candidates hold PE and Six Sigma Yellow Belt, with 6+ years in HV substation design. Travel across Florida and North America is required; driver’s license is needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil/Structural engineering is required.
• 6+ years’ experience in Substation design and engineering of High Voltage projects preferred.
• Project Engineering/PM experience with bias for action; PMP and/or PE would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead renewable generation substation projects from conception through construction and commissioning.
• Coordinate with Development Group and Early-Stage PM for engineering requirements.
• Provide training and technical oversight of external engineers of record to ensure compliance with standards.
• Ensure ISO and interconnection requirements are incorporated into project design.
• Support transmission services during review of interconnection documentation.
