Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer (Substation) to lead multidisciplinary substation projects across concept through commissioning.

You will coordinate Substation Physical, Protection & Control, Studies, and Settings/SCADA teams, ensuring technically sound, constructible deliverables. The role requires senior technical judgment, strong communication with clients and vendors, and a track record of successful project delivery in power engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in an ABET‑accredited program related to the AEC industry.
• Master’s degree preferred but not required.
• 10+ years in related engineering roles is typical for this senior level.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary substation engineering from concept to IFC, construction, and commissioning support.
• Coordinate technical activities across Substation Physical, Protection & Control, Studies, and Settings/SCADA.
• Direct and mentor engineers, designers, and technicians to meet quality standards and project schedules.
• Coordinate interfaces with clients, utilities, and vendors to ensure effective project delivery.
• Support proposal development, scope definition, and resource planning for projects.
