Job summary

K&A Power Group in the United States is seeking a Substation Planner III to join our team across North Carolina locations, including Leland, New Bern, Garner, or Dunn. You will develop detailed construction and maintenance work packages and coordinate resources for complex substation projects.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of substation construction experience, strong planning and estimating skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Substation Construction experience.
• Knowledge of transmission and substation construction practices.
• Experience with construction planning, estimating, and resource coordination.
• Knowledge of ITOA or switching/tagging qualifications required.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed construction and maintenance work packages.
• Estimate labor hours, resources, and project durations.
• Coordinate materials, equipment, tools, and contractor support.
• Participate in project planning, scoping, and pre-construction meetings.
• Conduct site visits and job walk-downs to support project planning.
• Coordinate with Construction, Project Management, Operations, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Support switching, clearance requests, outage coordination, and emergency planning activities.
• Maintain accurate project and compliance documentation, including NERC-related records.
