Olsson is seeking a Senior Substation Physical Design Engineer to lead the physical design of high‑voltage substations for data centers and mission‑critical facilities. You will manage layouts, equipment arrangement, grounding, and constructability from concept through construction, coordinating with clients, utilities and multidisciplinary teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is required.
• 8+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience.
• Strong focus on physical substation design and power delivery infrastructure.
• Experience with large‑load or mission‑critical facilities and coordination with utilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead Physical Substation Design: layouts, equipment, grounding, and site coordination.
• Project Leadership from Concept to Construction with scheduling and coordination.
• Collaborate with data center owners, developers, and utilities to meet uptime and capacity needs.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated designs.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to design standards and best practices.
