Job summary

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) is seeking a senior substation engineer for our Portland, OR area office in Tigard, OR. You will lead conceptual, preliminary and final detailed design of substations, including material procurement and commissioning support through energization.

Applicants should have a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years in project and design engineering. A PE license is preferred; travel is occasional.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering; PE license preferred.
• 10+ years of project and design engineering experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication; team player.
• Ability to manage fast-paced project schedules.

Responsibilities

• Conceptual, preliminary and final detailed design of substations.
• Procurement support, construction and commissioning/startup through energization.
• Coordinate design with discipline groups (Grounding, Protection, Civil, SCADA).
• Mentor less experienced staff and support travel as needed.
