Job summary

ENTRUST Solutions Group seeks a Senior Substation Engineer to lead and execute complex substation projects in the Fort Wayne, IN area. You will perform detailed design, studies, and calculations, review drawings, and provide guidance to junior engineers.

Ideal candidates hold an ABET engineering degree with 6–10 years in substations; a PE license is preferred or attainable within a year. Travel up to 15% within the continental U.S. is required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required or equivalent.
• PE license by examination required or obtainable within the next year.
• 6–10 years substation engineering experience, preferably in consulting.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex substation projects from scope to commissioning.
• Review and produce physical design drawings: GA, elevations, grounding, conduits, control buildings.
• Perform grounding, lightning, battery sizing, conduit fill, and substation sizing studies.
• Prepare one-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel elevations.
• Collaborate with civil/structural, protection, and automation teams.
• Visit sites, attend scoping meetings, and support project management.
