Job summary

Entergy is seeking an Engineer I - Sr (Trans) to perform planning, maintenance, design engineering, project management and construction activities related to transmission substations and operations in Beaumont or Conroe, Texas. This onsite role can be filled at Engineer I or Sr level based on qualifications.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required; PE may be considered. Substation relay protection experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Substation relay protection experience preferred.
• PE licensure may be considered for final placement.

Responsibilities

• Performs planning, maintenance, design engineering, project management and construction for substations and transmission operations.
• Applies engineering principles to develop cost-effective, technically sound solutions.
• Provides technical support to Area Substation Supervisors in daily diagnostics and maintenance tasks.
• Ensures compliance with NERC/SERC and other utilities regulations.
• Collaborates with other disciplines to achieve goals and supports storm/restoration efforts.
