Job summary

Actalent in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Staff Electrical Engineer – Substation to support high-voltage substation design from 13kV to 765kV, partnering with senior engineers to develop design packages, grounding studies, cable sizing, and protection/control layouts.

This contract-to-hire role onsite offers exposure to utility projects, collaborative teams, and opportunities to contribute from conceptual design through construction, with compensation in the stated hourly range.

Qualifications

• 3 years of substation engineering experience.
• BSEE preferred.
• Exposure to AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• Utility consulting experience preferred.
• Physical design experience.
• EIT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop substation design packages.
• Conduct grounding studies and cable sizing.
• Create protection and control layouts.
• Design physical substation components.
• Collaborate with project teams throughout the design and construction phases.
